Synopsis: (From the Publisher)
Vivacious Sancha of Aragon arrives in Rome newly wed to a member of the notorious Borgia dynasty. Surrounded by the city's opulence and political corruption, she befriends her glamorous and deceitful sister-in-law, Lucrezia, whose jealousy is as legendary as her beauty. Some say Lucrezia has poisoned her rivals, particularly those to whom her handsome brother, Cesare, has given his heart. So when Sancha falls under Cesare's irresistible spell, she must hide her secret or lose her life. Caught in the Borgias' sinister web, she summons her courage and uses her cunning to outwit them at their own game. Vividly interweaving historical detail with fiction, The Borgia Bride is a richly compelling tale of conspiracy, sexual intrigue, loyalty, and drama.

I read this a couple of years ago and enjoyed it!
This is a FANTASTIC read!!!
I bought it over the summer because I love historical fiction and I wanted to branch out from England and try another country. :)
Such a good book...and if any of you keep up with ShoTimes The Tudors like I do, you'll know that coming in 2011 we will be able to watch The Borgias!!!! Sancha better be in it since she plays a significant role!
I know the tv shows have some inaccuracies but they are sooo fun to watch.
Also, I have another of Jeanne's books: I, Mona Lisa. It is really good. She is a wonderful writer. Philippa Gregory and Jeanne Kalogridis are my favorite historical fiction writers!
I, too, read this a few years ago and loved it! I also enjoyed I, Mona Lisa, but The Borgia Bride was my favorite Kalogridis read.
How excited are you for The Borgias next year on Showtime?!
Sooo super excited LOL!
Another fan of this book! I too read Painting Mona Lisa but didn't think it was as good as this one!
Enjoy!
I read this fairly recently and thought it was very entertaining. I was glued to the page, but goodness, those Borgias were a nasty lot!
